Investments Surge in Anzali Free Zone

Domestic and foreign investments in Anzali Free Zone in northern Iran during the eight months to November 20, 2016, amounted to over 14 trillion rials (more than $360 million at market exchange rates), registering a 51% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to an official with Anzali Free Zone Organization. “During the period, 278 Iranian and foreign companies were registered in the free zone, indicating a 40% increase year-on-year,” the Persian daily Donya-e-Eqtesad quoted Amin Ofoqi as saying.
