Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization in cooperation with the Geological Survey of Iran plans to survey the country’s mineral-rich zones to design maps on a 1:1000 scale after a cooperation agreement was signed between the two sides earlier this week. According to IMIDRO’s website, the survey project is already halfway through and is pending a 20-billion-rial ($526,315 at the current market exchange rate) investment for resumption. It is expected to be completed within four months.
