The 16th Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of the International Labor Organization opened in Bali, Indonesia, on Tuesday.
Leading the Iranian delegation, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei is scheduled to deliver a speech at the meeting.
The minister will also hold meetings with his South Korean, Indonesian and Nepalese counterparts on the sidelines of the four-day event, IRNA reported.
Around 450 delegates from more than 40 Asian and Arab states are attending the meeting.
A founding member of ILO, Iran was one of the first countries in the sub-region to join the organization. It has ratified 13 ILO conventions, including five of the eight core conventions (covering the elimination of forced labor, child labor and discrimination).
