Iran has been chosen to host the 13th edition of Asia-Pacific meeting of the International Summit of Cooperatives in 2018, the deputy head of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives, Alireza Qaragozlou, said.
Qaragozlou said ISC’s Asia-Pacific meeting is one of the world’s leading events for business development of cooperatives and noted that representatives of the International Cooperative Alliance will also take part in the event.
ICA is an independent, non-governmental organization established in 1895 to unite, represent and serve cooperatives worldwide. The alliance’s members are international and national cooperative organizations from all sectors of the economy, including agriculture, banking, consumer, fisheries, health, housing, insurance and workers.
The alliance has members from 100 countries, representing one billion individuals worldwide.
