Tehran Stock Exchange and Iran Fara Bourse may separate their trading systems to better handle trading traffic that has caused headaches for investors in recent months. “This is an opportunity for Iran Fara Bourse. Due to telecommunications issues and traffic, some symbols faced problems, especially during primary offerings. This problem will be addressed with the separation of TSE and IFB’s trading systems, which will be a growth opportunity for IFB,” Amir Hamouni, IFB’s chief executive, told Bourse Press. Hamouni added that the new arrangement is temporary and that he wants to have separate software for each type of security. IFB offers bonds, stocks, exchange-traded-funds and other novel instruments. It hosts companies that do not meet the requirements of its larger counterpart, TSE.
