More foreign investors are getting permits to trade Iranian securities since the removal of nuclear sanctions against Tehran in January. “Currently, 710 foreign entities are trading in Iranian securities markets,” Yaser Fallah, an advisor to the head of the Securities and Exchange Organization, in charge of regulating securities markets, told Mehr News Agency. According to Fallah, most of the investors are from Denmark, France, Germany and Switzerland. The Central Securities Depository of Iran—the body in charge of handling custody of securities—had issued 575 trading codes for foreign investors by Farvardin (the first month of the current Iranian year ending April 19).
