The Fourth International Mines and Mining Industries Congress and the Sixth Iranian Mining Engineering Conference will be held simultaneously in Tehran on November 7-9.
More than 800 participants from Iran and 60 from Germany, Georgia, Turkey, China, Australia, France, Thailand and Afghanistan are expected to take part in the two events, which will be held on the sidelines of the 12th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery and Vehicles, Mining, Building Material Machines and Natural Stone Industry, also known as Iran ConMin 2016, ILNA reported. Iran is among the world’s top 10 mineral-rich countries.
Based on statistics released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, close to 400 million tons of minerals are annually produced from the country’s 5,400 active mines.
