Close to 414,000 tonnes of various commodities, worth almost 7.8 trillion rials were traded on the spot market at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the week ending November 19, the IME’s PR and foreign affairs reported.

Potential buyers were offered 8 groups of commodities including aluminum, concentrate, steel, sugar, barely, lube-cut oil, sulfur and chemicals.

Nearly 184,000 tonnes of various commodities, valued at around 4.12 trillion rials were supplied on the export and local industrial mining trading floors.

Some 171,000 tonnes of steel sections, 6,210 tonnes of different coppers, 5,970 tonnes of aluminum, 100 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, and 21 tonnes of precious metals concentrate were among these commodities sold to buyers.

Furthermore, close to 228,000 tonnes of petrochemicals, valued more than 3.6 trillion rials, were supplied to traders on the internal and export oil and petrochemical trading floor.

Almost 82,000 tonnes of bitumen of various grades, 35,000 tonnes of polymers, 47,000 tonnes of vacuum bottoms, 17,000 tonnes of lube-cut oil, 23,000 tonnes of chemicals, 22,000 tonnes of sulfur were among these commodities. In addition, 1,000 tonnes of slack wax, 500 tonnes of insulation, 90 tonnes of different gases and feedstock were offered to traders on the same trading floors.

Finally, 400 tonnes of soybeans, 600 tonnes of maize, and 520 tonnes of barely were supplied on the agricultural trading floor.
