Over 4m Households Register in Online Census

More than 4.35 million households participated online in the eighth round of the National Population and Housing Census since it began on September 24, up until 6 a.m. October 14, according to the head of Statistical Center of Iran. “So far, more than 14.7 million people have registered in the census. Participation rates were the highest in Semnan and Bushehr, South Khorasan, Yazd, Hormozgan, Kurdestan and Lorestan provinces,” Omid Ali Parsa was also quoted as saying by IRNA. The eighth round of Population and Housing Census began on September 24 and will run through November 15. This round will be conducted in two phases: online registration (September 24-October 15) and door-to-door survey (October 16-November 15).
