The Czech Republic seeks to cooperate with Iran in manufacturing industrial machinery, especially equipment used in surface and underground mining, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website. The remark was made by Eduard Muricky, the European country’s deputy minister of industries and trade, during a meeting with the head of IMIDRO, Mehdi Karbasian, at the organization’s headquarters in Tehran. “Iran’s mining sector is currently struggling with a lack of modern exploration and extraction machinery and welcomes using Czech technology and capability,” said Karbasian. Pointing to meetings held between Central Bank of Iran and Czech officials, Muricky noted that banking ties between the two countries are well-established and ready for operation. The Czech official also called for the establishment of a joint workgroup for determining the priorities of the Iranian mining sector.
