Iran Fara Bourse’s intellectual property market saw its fourth round of trading.

According to Securities and Exchange News Agency, the design and ownership rights for a proprietary cigarette filter that absorbs 80% of cigarette smoke’s harmful substances without reducing the smoke’s nicotine content was sold to a buyer for 16 billion rials ($440,000 at market exchange rates) on the IFB.

The cigarette filter has no foreign counterpart.

The sale brings the trading volume on IFB’s intellectual property market to 30.5 billion rials ($850,000).

IFB is an over-the-counter exchange that is home to Iran’s largest bond market, its most vibrant stock market, along with a market for intellectual property and investment vehicles like Exchange Traded Funds, Housing Mortgage Rights and Exchange Traded Project Funds.
