About 8% of Iran’s population have securities trading codes, says Mohammad Reza Mohseni, the head of Central Securities Depository of Iran. There are 4.6 million men and 2.1 million women registered with the organization.
CDSI has 33,000 registered institutional investors. Mohseni also told Boursepress that the organization has issued an aggregate of 9.97 million trading codes, leaving a 2.2 million gap between the total number of trading codes and the sum of individual and institutional investors put together.
