Iran is planning to increase furniture exports to $200 million within the next five years, the head of Iran Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters Union said. Exports have been hovering around $20 million in the past couple of years. Ahmadian made the statements on the sidelines of the 25th International Furniture Fair, which opened on Wednesday at Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground and will run through August 6. More than 360 Iranian and six foreign companies are showcasing their latest products in the categories of classic, modern, bedroom and children’s furniture.
