In a meeting with delegates from HABITAT (United Nations Human Settlements Program), the head of the Department of Environment counted “support of activities in sustainable urban development” among the main objectives and missions of Bank Shahr. Noting that the implementation of the HABITAT plan demands professional work in urban development, Massoumeh Ebtekar said “the main indicator for us in urban development is improving the quality of life and Bank Shahr has a good record in this field.”Stressing that Iran needs to have an international presence in the post-sanctions era, she said, “This will materialize through supporting representatives like Bank Shahr and we must do all we can to support and strengthen this role.”
