More Foreigners Trading Iranian Securities

Fourteen foreigners registered for trading in Iran’s securities markets in the Iranian  month of Tir (June 21-July 21, 2016), a Central Securities Depository of Iran executive said.
According to Fariba Akhvan, six of the trading codes issued by the CSDI—the body in charge of handling securities—were for individuals from Afghanistan, Bahrain, Switzerland, South Korea and the UAE.
The remaining eight trading codes were given out to foreign financial institutions, IRNA reported.
This brings the tally of foreign financial institutions with the option to trade Iranian securities to 90.
The new additions bring the total number of foreign investors in Iranian securities to 650, of which 34 are Iranian expatriates.
