Iran and Japan have signed a document to increase cooperation in the transportation sector. The agreement was signed on Thursday after the first meeting of the Joint Commission for Infrastructure and Transportation in Tokyo, where an Iranian delegation headed by Deputy Roads and Urban Development Minister Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan met officials from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, IRNA reported. Also on Thursday, the Iranian delegation attended a conference in Tokyo on introducing investment opportunities in Iran’s rail sector. Representatives of 28 Japanese companies attended the event organized by Japan Railway Technical Service.
