CBI to Repay IMF Debt

The government allowed the Central Bank of Iran to repay 9.88 trillion rials ($321 million) to the International Monetary Fund for settling Iran’s debts to the Washington-based lender. The amount would be paid through CBI resources, ISNA reported on Wednesday. The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs is also set to provide written guarantees to the central bank.
