Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company exported 900,000 tons of iron ore concentrate during the first three months of the current Iranian year (started March 20), which indicates a whopping 195% rise compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to managing director of the company, Nasser Taqizadeh. The surge in exports came after the company expanded its production capacity last year, during which 1.6 million tons of iron ore concentrate were produced. Golgohar, located in Sirjan County in the southwest Kerman Province, is one of the largest producers of iron ore and pellets in Iran, Minews reported.
