With non-oil exports of $10.5 billion during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 20), about 21% of the government’s export target ($50 billion) for this year has been realized, the deputy minister of industries, mining and trade, Mojtaba Khosrotaj, said. According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, Iran’s non-oil foreign trade in Q1 reached $19.47 billion. The country exported 27.78 million tons of goods worth $10.47 billion and imported 7.26 million tons worth $9 billion during the period, IRNA reported.
