Head of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization has urged foreigners to invest in Iran’s bond markets before looking into equity investments. Mohammad Fetanat-Fard added that government bonds are risk-free and that plans are underway to sell Iranian government bonds in foreign money markets, IRNA reported. The Iranian government started selling short-term bonds last summer for the first time.
