Tehran Hosts Elevators, Escalators Expo

The fifth international exhibition of elevators, escalators and related industries and equipment known as Iran Liftex 2016 opened in Tehran on Saturday. The expo was inaugurated by Industries, Mining and Trade Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, IRNA reported. “Iran is currently 70% self-sufficient in the production of escalators and can also meet 80% of its demand for elevator spare parts. All our products meet the required standards and can compete in international markets,” he said. Close to 140 Iranian and over 40 foreign companies from several countries, including Germany, Taiwan, Turkey and China, are taking part in the five-day exhibition.
