Iran Fara Bourse has now become an affiliate member of World Federation of Exchanges. The membership comes as Iran’s two other exchanges Tehran Stock Exchange and Iran Mercantile Exchange recently joined WFE, Bourse Press reported on Saturday. The lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran over its civilian nuclear energy program and the reintegration of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization into the International Organization of Securities Commissions have provided the country with an opportunity to join global exchanges. WFE is a trade association of 64 publicly-regulated stocks, futures and options exchanges. The 54-year-old London-based organization organizes committees, meetings, general assemblies, conferences and workshops for its members to transfer knowhow and share expertise.
