Tehran Stock Exchange’s benchmark index gained 109 points or 0.15% in the last trading week that ended on July 6 to close at 74,049.
Wednesday was a public holiday and the TSE is closed on Thursdays.
More than four billion shares valued at $269.5 million were traded in 256,000 transactions during the week, indicating a 7.2% and 3.8% rise compared to the prior week respectively.
TSE’s First Market Index won 68 points or 0.13% to close at 51,471 and the Second Market Index added 288 points or 0.18% to stop at 163,969.
Wood product manufacturers recorded the highest weekly rise in share value (17.10%), followed by the “machinery and electrical equipment” group (9.11%) and “technical and engineering services” group (7.90%).
Over 691,975 bonds worth $20 million changed hands at TSE during the week.
Meanwhile, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index, IFX, gained 7.8 points or 1% during the same week to end at 783.7.
More than 1.1 billion securities valued at $221.1 million were traded in 95,000 transactions at IFB, indicating a 21% decline and a 108% rise respectively.
IFB’s market cap dropped $91 million or 0.3% to close at $26.7 billion.
The over-the-counter market’s First Market witnessed the trading of 161 million securities valued at $9.4 million, registering a 13% drop and a 17% rise respectively. More than 526 million securities worth $33.9 million were traded in the Second Market, which shows an increase of 43% and 41% respectively.
‘”anks and credit institutions” had the highest weekly rise in share value (24%), which was followed by “Base metals” (23%) and “paper products” (7%).

TEDPIX added 101.90 points or 0.14% to end Tuesday trade at 74,049.10.
More than 832.2 million shares valued at $62.8 million were traded for the day.
Alborz Insurance was the biggest riser, going up 4.98% to 1,349 rials per share.
Farabi Pharmaceutical Company incurred the biggest loss among TSE-listed companies, as it went down 4.95% to 10,310 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark, followed by MAPNA Group and Tose’e Melli Investment Group.
Mobarakeh Steel Company weighed the most on TEDPIX, followed by the National Copper Industries Company, and Tamin Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Investment Group.
The Price Index gained 37.11 points or 0.14% to stop at 26,908.80.
The First Market Index scored 37.49 points or 0.07% to reach 51,470.80.
The Second Market Index added 424.24 points or 0.26% to gain 163,969.30.
The Industry Index won 65.22 points or 0.11% to register 61,478.50.
The Free Float Index was up by 85.02 points or 0.10% to post 82,874.20.
The TSE 30 Index gathered 0.20 points or 0.01% to hit 3,006.10 while the TSE 50 Index rose by 4.10 points or 0.14% to settle at 2,931.40.
At Iran Fara Bourse, the IFX gained 2.40 points or 0.31% to 783.65.
More than 245 million securities valued at $31.2 million were traded for the day.
Tourism Bank saw the highest number of traded shares and trade value, as 78.6 million of its shares worth $2.9 million were traded.
Amin Reinsurance Company, Zangan Zinc Industries Company and Tuka Paint Company had the highest increase in share value.
This is while Pars Paper Industries Company, Saman Insurance and Kosar Credit and Financial Institution posted the highest decline.
Damavand Electricity Company, Arfa Steel Company and Hormozgan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the IFB benchmark.
