No Deposits Outside Interbank Market

The Central Bank of Iran has prohibited banks and credit institutions from depositing money into accounts of other lenders or financial institutions outside the interbank market. The CBI had previously warned commercial lenders against accepting deposits by uncertified credit and financial institutions while some reports suggest that banks have channeled money into such institutions.
