CBI, China Corp Discuss Ties

Iran is willing to expand cooperation with countries that supported Iran during the sanctions including China, said Central Bank of Iran governor, Valiollah Seif, in a meeting with China Investment Corporation officials on Tuesday.  The senior official pointed to CBI measures for reducing the rate of inflation and enhancing financial markets during the past two years and called for Chinese investment in Iran. Li Keping, vice chairman of the CIC, said his company is interested in investing in Iran and has been working with the National Development Fund of Iran for the past two years. He asked the CBI to provide more information about Iran’s fiscal policies and the state of foreign direct investment.
