Export Development Bank of Iran is offering 6% discount on the interest of loans given to exporters of goods with high value-added, said head of EDBI branch in Kerman Province, Mahmoud Momenzadeh. “The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade; Management and Planning Organization, and the EDBI have reached an agreement to provide cheaper loans to such exporters,” the EDBI website quoted him as saying on Saturday. Exporters eligible for the incentive should have not used credit from the National Development Fund of Iran in the past. He said the EDBI’s Kerman branch lent 600 billion rials ($20 million) in the form of 58 contracts during the previous fiscal year that ended in March.
