The new ‘Risk Management and Compliance Department’ of Bank Melli Iran has begun work with a new structure. The new unit has been formed in accordance with the implementation of rules and regulations set by the Central Bank of Iran and international requirements in the post-sanctions era, and to have a more effective presence on the local and international banking scene, reported banker.ir. The department, formed with the approval of BMI’s board of directors, will operate under the direct supervision of the bank’s CEO, Mohammad Reza Hossein Zadeh. Managing risks and compliance of banking contracts with laws fall under the jurisdiction and duties of the department.
