The Central Securities Depository of Iran issued 21 trading codes for foreigners to trade in Iran’s equity market in the Iranian month of Ordibehesht (April 20–May 20), bringing the total number of foreign traders in the country to 611, according to SCDI’s Managing Director Mohammad Reza Mohseni. The foreigners included 13 non-institutional and eight institutional investors from France, Belgium, Portugal, Iraq, Pakistan, Germany, Lebanon and Afghanistan. Foreign trading has been on the rise following the nuclear deal signed between Iran and world powers back in July and its implementation in mid-January. According to Mohseni, foreign traders netted $62.8 million worth of transactions during the one-month period, SENA reported.
