Bank Saderat Iran, managed to reduce its non-performing loans by 10% last year, the bank’s chief executive, Esmaeil Lalegani said on Wednesday. BSI chief also added that his bank is developing a new plan for financing homebuyers, ILNA quoted him as saying. The banking sector is struggling with many problems but it does not mean they are insolvent, he noted in response to claims by many experts and market observers that banks have choked of credit to companies due largely to the lack of resources.
