A report on the performance of the insurance market in the first six months of current Iranian year (March 21-September 22) shows a 38 percent increase in insurance premiums, as well as 24 percent increase in payment of compensation premiums, compared to the first half of the previous year, IRNA reported. The statistics also indicate a 25 percent increase in the number of insurance policies in comparison to the same period of the previous year, reaching 22.1 billion contracts.
