Some $10 million worth of contracts were signed by Iranian companies and their Iraqi counterparts at Iran’s exclusive exhibition in Basra, the exhibition organizer said.
Alireza Sadrzadeh added that the main achievement was the signing of a memorandum of understanding based on which Iranian companies are to establish water supply networks in Iraqi cities.
According to the official, Iranian auto manufacturers stood out in the exhibition for their satisfactory services, the Persian daily Forsat-e Emrooz reported.
“Close to 15,000 people from Basra and the southern cities of Iraq attended the exhibition,” he said.
The four-day exhibition ended on May 21.
