Iran Chamber of Commerce Industries, Mining and Agriculture Teusday hosted a delegation of World Bank experts, who had come to assess the situation for the provision of loans to the small and medium enterprises
“We informed the WB delegation on the current state of the SMEs in Iran. We will work on the issue before WB top officials travel to Tehran to give their final opinion,” Mehr News Agency quoted Mohsen Jalalpour, head of ICCIMA, as saying. Jalalpour did not provide details nor say when the representatives of the global lender would visit again.
“We might be able to get them to provide us with at least $1.5-$2 billion in loans if we can convince them of Iranian SMEs’ potential and capabilities,” he added.
