Russia’s Kamaz Company plans to export 100,000 trucks to Iran by the yearend, said the company’s head of foreign trade, Rafail Gafeev, on Tuesday. He added that Kamaz also plans to set up a truck assembly line in Iran in 2017, IRNA reported. Kamaz is the largest truck manufacturer in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Russia, producing up to 94,000 trucks per year. The company’s eight-year-long presence in the Iranian market was disrupted in 2010 following the imposition of western sanctions against Tehran over its nuclear energy program.
