Minister of Economy Ali Tayyebnia, and his Indonesian counterpart  Bambang Brodjonegoro called for effective banking ties among the two nations to boost bilateral commercial relations. Speaking in Jakarta,   Tayyebnia said Tehran wants to increase trade with Indonesia following the removal of international sanctions in January, IRNA reported. Brodjonegoro welcomed the expansion of banking ties, saying his ministry has recommended Indonesian banks to conduct safe transactions with Iran. He added that his country is keen on purchasing Iranian crude oil and is looking to invest in its petroleum industries. Tayyebnia Monday traveled to Jakarta to take part in the Islamic Development Bank’s annual board meeting.
