Research Center for Housing Ministry

The ministry of roads and urban development has established a research center and has tasked it with conducting comprehensive studies on economic, transportation and housing affairs, IRIB reported.
“The research center is tasked with conducting studies that can be utilized later to provide financial resources required for infrastructure development projects and mortgage funds,” deputy housing minister, Mohammad Shekarchizadeh, was quoted as saying on Friday. He also said that a new department is to be set up to conduct “social studies” on topics such as security, road transportation and urban architecture.
Pointing on road and housing ministry’s policies on industrial construction, he said that there is no concrete figure available on industrial construction. However, “the housing ministry is determined to encourage industrial mass construction.”
Shekarchizadeh also said that the housing ministry has a job to stimulate the housing market.
