David Lipton, first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, will soon visit Tehran for talks with senior officials. He will be heading a delegation of five IMF officials to discuss previous agreements with Iran and exchange views on ways of developing cooperation between Tehran and the fund SHANA reported on Monday. The IMF has been providing the Central Bank of Iran with technical assistance on supervisory issues.
