Bank Sarmayeh is planning to expand investment in the sports arena after its affiliated team won Iran’s Volleyball Super League championship title in March. Mohammad Reza Khani, the bank’s CEO, said Sarmayeh is trying to invest in other sports, especially handball, the bank’s website reported on Thursday. The private lender has long-term plans for investing in sport and help improve athletics, according to Khani.
