Iran’s Refah Chain Stores Company and Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation.
“Stipulated in the MoU is our insistence on the export of Iranian goods to South Korea, alongside the import of South Korean products into the country. We will also be cooperating in transferring experience and knowledge, particularly in the field of chain stores,” said Farshid Golzadeh, CEO of Refah Chain Stores Company.
Golzadeh noted that the Iranian market should benefit from high-quality consumer goods and the focus in this regard is on Iranian products.
“We believe that along with foreign investors, domestic producers have to play a role in adding value to products. At the same time, foreign investors can profit from Iran’s workforce and packaging industry,” he said.
CEO of Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation Kim Jae-soo said, “I believe the Korea-Iran meeting marks a turning point for increasing trade between the two countries in the fields of food and fisheries.”
