The French Embassy Press Counsellor in Tehran Kévin Magron, visited the Financial Tribune office on Wednesday and met with the newspaper’s Managing Director Alireza Bakhtiari and Chief Editor Khosrow Ghadiri.
The two sides discussed prospects and avenues for cooperation between the French media and the Tribune along with its Persian-language sister publication Donya-e-Eqtesad -- the leading economic newspaper published by the private sector in Iran.
Bakhtiari briefed the diplomat on the plans and policies of his publications and expressed support for bilateral collaboration in areas of mutual interest. After the meeting Magron took a tour of the Financial Tribune office and met with the staff.
Paris opened the first major European trade office in Tehran back in September during the visit of a French delegation led by the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Tourism and French Nationals Overseas Matthias Fekl, and Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and Government Spokesperson Stéphane Le Foll.
The new Business France office, located at the country’s diplomatic mission in Tehran seeks to facilitate commercial relations between the two countries.
