President of Confederation of Indian Industry Naushad Forbes, accompanied by a delegation of 18 major Indian companies, met with the head of Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, Mehdi Karbasian, in Tehran on Wednesday. “Exploration, technology and marketing sectors of Iran’s mining industry has great growth potential that could be exploited,” IMIDRO’s news portal quoted Forbes as saying during the meeting. Mining industry machinery and equipment, raw materials, energy, decorative stones and cement are also sectors in which Indian businesses are interested to cooperate with Iran. Karbasian also referred to finance and investment as potential areas of cooperation between Tehran and New Delhi.
