Kabul-based Arian Bank is planning to open a branch in Chabahar Free Trade Zone to provide services to Iranian and Afghan merchants, said Hamidreza Toosi, head of Foreign Ministry’s office in the key port city. He noted that the bank’s chief executive had travelled to Chabahar to discuss ties with local officials, IRNA reported. He added that 130 Afghan companies are active in Chabahar. Bank Melli Iran and Bank Saderat Iran are two shareholders of Arian.
