Tehran Stock Exchange’s all-share index TEDPIX inched up 12.70 points or 0.02% to end Saturday trade at 78,281.7.

Mining companies and automakers were the main winners of the day, while pharmaceutical and chemical companies posted the biggest losses.

More than one billion shares worth $70.8 million changed hands. The number of traded shares decreased by over 700 million compared to the prior trading day and daily trade value dropped by nearly 50%.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company was the best performer with its shares gaining 5.55% to 2,817 rials each. The company also provided the biggest boost to TEDPIX (75.40 points).

Exir Pharmaceutical Company staged the worst performance as its shares dropped 5% to 19,470 rials each.

Omid Investment Company was the biggest market laggard with -53.74 points.

The Price Index crawled up 4.80 points or 0.02% to end at 29,547.4.

The First Market Index shed 14.30 points or 0.03% to settle at 54,825.1. The Second Market Index gained 169.80 points or 0.10% to reach 170,928.8. The Industry Index inched up 0.30% or less than 0.01% to post 65,425.4. The Free Float Index advanced 60.97 points or 0.07% to hit 87,288.90. The TSE 30 Index added 2 points or 0.06% to register 3,251.4 while the TSE 50 Index gave up 2.10 points or -0.07% to finish at 3,153.8.

  IFB Trade Up Fivefold

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index, IFX, gathered 1.60 points or 0.21% to close Saturday trade at 794.61.

According to IFB data, more than 260 million securities worth $148.8 million changed hands in 12,000 transactions, with the daily trade value surging over 500% compared to Wednesday’s figures.

Esfahan Steel Company extended its four-day winning streak and recorded the highest number of shares traded in addition to the highest daily trade value, as 11 million of its shares worth $828,000 were traded.

Arfa Steel Company, Kosar Financial Credit Institution and Bank Sarmayeh had the highest increase in share value.

Niroo Sarmayeh Company, Baghmisheh Housing and Urban Development Company and Hormozgan Steel Company experienced the biggest losses.

Zagros Petrochemical Company and Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company provided the biggest boost to IFX.

Etemad Fund, with the transaction of 880,000 of its shares, registered the highest trade volume among listed exchange-traded funds.
