Two of the top managers of Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, better known by its German abbreviation BaFin, visited Tehran Stock Exchange and met with the head of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization on Sunday. Meeting in Tehran, Peter Krushcel, Johannes Engels and Mohammad Fetanat discussed the regulatory structures and the policies of two organizations and explored potential avenues of cooperation. BaFin is an independent federal institution with headquarters in Bonn and Frankfurt, supervising a large number of banks, financial services institutions and insurance undertakings.
