In a meeting with Sarmayeh Bank officials, Azerbaijan’s Zamin Bank presented its services including bank cards, in an attempt to enter ther Iranian market. Nadir Ismailov, Zamin’s chairman, said that his bank is ready to offer MasterCard and Visa access to Iranians “which works in various currencies including the US dollar, ruble, euros and the Azeri manat,” Sarmayeh Bank’s website quoted him as saying on Monday. Iranian banks would also be able to link with Azerbaijan’s international transaction network, CMT (Caspian Money Transfer), through Zamin Bank, which can be used for transactions across the world, he added.  Zamin Bank was established on November 16, 1992 and is the second largest bank in the neighboring republic.
