The Second Iran Mines and Mining Industries Summit: Exploration, Development and Investment will be hosted by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization in Tehran on July 11-12. According to IMIDRO’s website, the summit is intended to attract foreign investments in the mining sector, facilitate cooperation between domestic mining firms and their international counterparts, and discuss the latest developments in the industry. The previous such summit was held in early 2015, before the lifting of western sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear program.
