Promoting a taxpaying culture, creating trust and transparency in the tax collection process and raising awareness about the tax system are high on the agenda of the Iranian National Tax Administration in the new Iranian year (started March 20), says director of the organization. “With the middle class constituting more than 90% of the Iranian population, INTA plans to tax the country’s most affluent earners and curb tax evasion by using legal tools,” Mehr News Agency quoted Seyyed Kamel Taqavinejad as saying.
