In his upcoming visit to Pakistan, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani is to be accompanied by a business delegation consisting of members of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture as well as economic players of the private sector, according to Mehdi Honardoust, the Iranian envoy to Islamabad.

"Expanding interactions between Iran and Pakistan's chambers of commerce will go a long way in introducing the capacities of the two countries' private sectors to each other. The upcoming meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic and Commercial Cooperation provides ample opportunities for the two sides to discuss bilateral ties," he said in a meeting with Pakistani Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

"One great difficulty regarding economic and trade cooperation during the sanctions period was the obstacles we faced in banking relations and money transfer. Hopefully after the lifting of the sanctions, these problems will go away," IRNA quoted Honardoust as saying on Friday.

"President Rouhani's visit to Islamabad and the subsequent Iran-Pakistan meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic and Commercial Cooperation, can help significantly in increasing our trade volume and fortifying bilateral relations," Ishaq Dar said.
