Iran’s third exclusive exhibition will be held in the Afghan capital of Kabul on March 2, with over 100 Iranian companies participating in the event.
In the four-day exhibition, Iranian brands will showcase their products and services.
The exhibit is comprehensive. Iranian companies in the fields of construction and engineering, food products, household appliances, livestock and poultry, textile, carpets, automotive, mining, petrochemicals, detergents, cosmetics, IT and telecommunications, medicine, tourism and aeronautics are taking part, IRNA reported.
“The exhibition was very well received last year by the Afghan people, traders and industrialists. This year, we aim to establish Iranian brands and to do so there is a need to pay close attention to product quality as well as the Afghan market’s demand,” said Mohammad Reza Karimzadeh, the Iranian industries, mining and trade attache in Afghanistan.
Iran Khodro and SAIPA, the two major Iranian auto manufacturers, will participate in the exhibition this year.
Also, Chabahar Free Trade Zone and Birjand Special Economic Zone will introduce their opportunities for joint cooperation with Afghanistan.
The official insisted on establishing joint companies and brands, transferring technical knowledge and part of the production lines and competitive pricing as ways of helping Iranian products gain a foothold in the Afghan market.
Afghanistan has a population of approximately 32 million and imports 97% of products and services it needs.
