$25m Invested on Mining Projects

More than $25 million have been invested by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, affiliated to the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, so far this Iranian year (to end March 19, 2016) on exploration of 38,000 square kilometers of the country’s mineral-rich zones, according to IMIDRO’s head of exploration affairs, Ali Asgharzadeh. “In cooperation with major international mining firms, we will start extraction of new and valuable reserves of copper, gold and even platinum in the near future,” he added. The exploration projects mainly covered the provinces of Isfahan and Yazd, IMIDRO reported on its website.
