Prices of metal building materials sharply fell during the first half (March 21-September 22) of the current Iranian calendar year, a new report said on Wednesday.
According to the report released by the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI), major metal materials experienced the sharpest drop in prices among construction materials in the six-month period compared with the similar period last year.
Among 143 building materials checked for prices, Iranian 10x10 wood slabs had the highest increase in price (up 77.8%), while bronze hollow profiles experienced the biggest drop in prices (down 49.1%), said the report.
The sluggish trend in the price of construction materials amid the ongoing recession at this sector.
